Good gyms shouldn't die quietly.

India's independent gyms out-coach, out-care and out-hustle every franchise chain. What they don't have is the chain's software. We're fixing exactly that — nothing more, nothing less.

The problem we couldn't unsee

Walk into any independent gym in India and you'll find the same operating system: a WhatsApp group, an Excel sheet, a whiteboard schedule, and a billing app that talks to none of them. The owner knows every member by face — but has no idea which of them silently stopped coming two weeks ago.

That's the part that should bother everyone: most gyms lose around half of their new members within six months, and almost none of those members ever complain. They just fade. The owner finds out at renewal time, months too late, when the revenue is already gone.

The big chains solved this years ago with expensive enterprise software and full-time operations teams. Independent owners were left to choose between clunky gym apps their members refuse to download, or duct tape.

What we're building instead

Lumifit is an operating system for fitness clubs — management, trainer operations and member engagement in one place. But two decisions define everything about how we build it:

  • App-less, always. Members tap a secure magic link in WhatsApp, SMS or Telegram and a fast, installable web app opens — wearing the gym's brand, not ours. App fatigue is real; we refuse to add to it.
  • Trust before migration. Gyms can connect the Google Sheet they already use and go live the same day. We earn the right to hold a gym's data — we don't demand it upfront.

Everything else — the retention engine, the gamified streaks, the omnichannel delivery chain — exists to serve one number: how many members keep showing up next month.
